Patricia Paetzold is a creative director, director, and author. Born in Hamburg to a German linguist and an Indonesian pharmacist, she studied playwriting and acting in the US. By the age of 20, she had written and directed her first play, which debuted at Literalia, an international literature festival in Germany. Starting her career as a film editor and producer for major German television networks, in the nineties she switched to advertising. Patricia has worked as a creative director at the best independent German agencies, such as Springer&Jacoby, Grabarz&Partner, and thjnk. She has an extensive international track record working for global brands such as Volkswagen, Audi, Coca-Cola, IKEA, Deutsche Telekom, and Mercedes-Benz. At the network agency FCB, she worked as the deputy global creative director on the brand NIVEA. Patricia has sat on several international award juries, including Cannes Lions, ANDY Awards, ADC Global, Clio Awards, and Eurobest, and has won over 200 international awards. Creating films has always been her passion, and for more than 20 years it has been part of her daily business. In 2017 Patricia started to direct her first commercials, and now she focuses on developing feature film projects.
